Himalayan Heights to Imperial Sights:
Your 20-Day India Adventure — happening in October
A 20‑day journey through North India, blending historic grandeur with spiritual adventure. Held in October, the most beautiful time of the year in Northern India — after the heavy monsoon rains have cleared and before winter arrives — the weather is calm, clear, and perfect for travelling. The tour begins in the vibrant capital of Delhi and the imperial city of Agra, where you'll experience a sunrise visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal. The trip's centerpiece is an eight-day immersion in Tibetan culture in Dharamsala, the home of the Dalai Lama. Here, you'll engage in meditation, cultural visits, trek to Triund Hill, and take a day trip for thrilling paragliding in Bir. The final leg includes a visit to the breathtaking Golden Temple in Amritsar and the powerful Wagah Border Ceremony before concluding with the group departure from Delhi.

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi: The Grand Entrance
Arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). After a seamless transfer, check into our comfortable hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest, acclimatize, and prepare for the epic journey ahead.

Day 2: Old Delhi Immersion: History and Chaos
Dive straight into the heart of India with a full-day tour of Old Delhi. We’ll explore the majestic Red Fort, the immense Jama Masjid, and the tranquil Sikh temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. We’ll cap the day with an exciting rickshaw tour through the ancient, bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk.

Day 3: New Delhi & Serene Icons
Experience the planned grandeur of New Delhi. We’ll drive past the impressive India Gate and the stately Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s Residence). The afternoon is dedicated to culture at the National Museum and spiritual peace at the stunning Lotus Temple, a masterpiece of modern architecture.

Day 4: Journey to Agra & Imperial Forts
A morning express train whisks us away to Agra, the city of the Taj. After settling in, we immediately begin exploring the imposing red sandstone walls of Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later, we’ll visit the exquisite, smaller 'Baby Taj,' Itmad-ud-Daula’s Tomb, known for its delicate inlaid marble work.

Day 5: The Majesty of the Taj Mahal & Ghost City
Rise before dawn for the unforgettable sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. Witnessing this monument of eternal love bathed in soft morning light is a truly spiritual experience. Later, we drive to the deserted 16th-century Mughal capital, Fatehpur Sikri, known for its perfectly preserved red sandstone architecture.

Day 6: Farewell to Delhi, Hello Himalayas
Enjoy a free morning for last-minute souvenir shopping or a final restful breakfast. In the afternoon, we transfer back to Delhi for a domestic flight, setting our sights north toward the stunning Himalayan foothills and the spiritual haven of Dharamsala.

Day 7: Dharamsala Arrival: Finding Serenity
Touch down in the mountain air! Arrive in Dharamsala, the capital of the Tibetan government-in-exile. Check into our hotel and take a gentle afternoon walk to acclimatize to the altitude, beginning our immersion into the peaceful yet vibrant Tibetan culture.
Day 8 - 15: Dharamsala: Culture, Calm, and Thrill
We spend nine full days immersed in the heart of Tibetan culture, including visits to monasteries and institutes, meditation sessions, and authentic food experiences. Highlights include a full-day trek to the stunning summit of Triund Hill, an exhilarating paragliding adventure in Bir, and a traditional bonfire camping night. We also attempt to seek an audience with the His Holiness the Dalai Lama (if pre-arranged).

Day 16: Amritsar: The Golden Temple at Dusk
We travel by car to the holy city of Amritsar. After checking in, we proceed to the awe-inspiring Harmandir Sahib, better known as the Golden Temple. Witnessing the temple illuminated at sunset and night is a deeply moving experience and a visual feast.

Day 17: Patriotism & Remembrance
The morning is dedicated to a solemn visit to Jallianwala Bagh, a site of historical importance and remembrance. In the late afternoon, we travel to the Wagah Border to witness the spectacular, flag-lowering "Beating Retreat" ceremony—a thrilling display of military showmanship and patriotism.
Day 18: Return to Delhi: Final Journey
Enjoy a free morning for a final Amritsar breakfast or market shopping. In the afternoon, we take a flight from Amritsar back to Delhi. We check into our final hotel to relax after an intense two days of cultural experiences.
Day 20: Group Departure
After one last group breakfast, we transfer to Delhi Airport (DEL) for our international departures, carrying incredible memories of the Taj Mahal, the Himalayas, and the Golden Temple.
Day 19: Delhi: Day at Leisure
A well-deserved free day! Use this time to revisit a favorite Delhi spot, catch up on souvenir shopping, or simply relax at the hotel. This is your buffer day to enjoy the final moments of your Indian adventure at your own pace.
